That's the main problem I find with 3d creators. I think it's because they can zoom in to the tiniest millimetre of their model, see it empty, and think it needs filling with detail. They lose sight of what the model looks like irl.
The best low-detail chorfs I've seen are from forest dragon, who actually does 10mm sculpts (hence the low detail) but their chorfs scale up pretty well to a slightly chunky 28mm. I can't find any pictures of them printed at 28mm but I've seen it done before and it looks decent.
