Its pretty unique for a "mystery" series. Characters are likeable. Setting being mostly the rear palace is something new. The individual stories in most episodes are pretty good too as well as the over arching plot in each season. Maomao is fun and cute, She uses logic and reasoning to solve shit. I could go on.
