It's plainly obvious that most major religions were created as a means of social control, rendering the majority of mankind into domesticated livestock. It seems that the most true ones would be the ones that are the most arbitrary about society and ethics, with deities behaving only like animals higher in the food chain than mankind, or with spiritual practices that only exist for the sake of making oneself superior to others. Give me some books talking about these sorts of religions.
