I'm a master tech and I make out alright. You gotta get yourself into a good spot and it can be okay but most do not make good money.
Inflation, falling customer base, and Infiniti getting rid of their sedan line up and going solely into the SUV market took most of the pay raise I got 3 years ago. Shit sucks and I'm looking for an off ramp to something else as soon as my company lease car expires next year. Something still in this field but different.
