I don't think anyone was really "seething" about them, apart from dealing with anons acting like pic related. What pChal managed to do, as I would describe it, is failing from success. To put it plainly, while he succeeded in gaining an audience, he's stuck running the proverbial ratwheel of doing Nuzlockes to keep them entertained, while doing everything in his power to keep things "fresh" - something varietytubers don't have an issue with.
