As we explore the newly for-sale castle we stumble upon Izanami's force ghost who explains that unlike last time the demons were smart enough to just kill her outright instead of just imprisoning her. A tip from one of the local demon civvies suggests that I can revive her using a macguffin from our next stop, Moloch's temple.
We rescue some demon kids who were slated for ritualistic sacrifice, get the revival macguffin, and fight Moloch who is the same as Belial except a giant pain in the ass because his defense is significantly better making his heal spam actually a problem. On the bright side I discovered by accident that having Ifrit on the back line completely nullifies target-all fire skills because it always starts from slot 6, meaning every time he cast maragidyne was a free turn.
After crawling back to town we get a key from the thankful father of the rescued kids then backtrack to revive Izanami who gives us a cloak that nullifies all damage tiles. Would have been real useful back when I was hiking through a giant turtle's stomach acid to get one of the pillars.
We unlock the tower not far from the temple town and quickly come across yet another demon lord by the name of Bephelgor who goes down pretty quickly and gives us a completely busted upgrade to my serpent sword multiplying my personal unga bunga output by more than 6 times.
Next stop is the mountains of fear where the fly men live, where I learn that Lucifer is running the show again and Beelzebub has the last orb of power needed before I can go confront him.
Making my way though the mountains and navigating what may or may not have been a very annoying graphical glitch I end up in his lair and easily beat his maze with the power of Mappara.
Prepared for the showdown with tricky lou's last surviving general we barge into his sanctum and... He asks very nicely for us to give him our pet frog and let him fuse with the other demon lord who also very much wanted to kill us.
