There was someone just a few threads ago defending them saying it's stupid to have any sense of working toward something to accomplish and only the result matters.
In that line of thought it makes sense why they never invent anything and just wait for tutorial Americans and Nordic/Germanic nations to create and innovate everything first just to copy.
