Kinda half the problem right there. Romeo and Juliet isnt a romantic story about two teenagers falling in love, it's a tragedy, a warning about following your base desires and romantic infatuations and creating a fantasy relationship in your head that doesnt exist that neither party can live up to.

I've been in love, probably the greatest feeling I've ever had in my life. It is straight up addictive because it elevates life to such a high that it's very hard to come down from. No such romantic attachment is sustainable. It just isnt.

Havent felt love like that since my late teens and I dont think I'll ever will. It's the fantasy of LOVE we all fall in love with, especially that first big one. It's kinda like santa claus. You turn 6 years old and suddenly you find santas beard in a box in the garage and your world comes tumbling down.

Doesnt mean you cant have meaningfull romantic relationships with people, but that high you once felt as a young man is never coming back.
