You know what else I appreciate about the 2005 film is they used real fucking squirrels for that seen with Veruca. Like holy shit they could have so easily gone cgi but no Burton was like "they have to be real" and hot damn if they didn't have some trainers spend a year wrangling squirrels to get them ready. We need more films with that kind of dedicated effort.
