Washing a car is a bit of work, especially if you're doing it all day long outdoors. You're going to have a high turnover rate unless you're paying them *really* well. You'll have better retention with a tunnel (which will be $$$$,) and reserve their duties to vacuuming and wiping down the car. Additionally, they won't be swimming in cleaning fluids. So that should reduce the health risk.
Pic is from a famous car wash in my area ... not a social hotspot, rather a longtime fixture. You hand your keys off to the worker who sends it through the tunnel. You go inside to pay where they also have a mini-mart. So maybe you could even do the bikini-barista thing too. Then step outside and wait for them to wipe down your car. But in your scenario, you get to watch bikini girls crawling all over the cars instead of Micronesian dudes.
