This is such a fkn meme.
Upgradability was always an idiot trap.
Even Desktop PC, cant be upgraded.
Odds are, once you replace one part, three others are bottleknecking it.
Even case and PSU are only semi sensible to keep, since the case might not be the best fit and the old PSU might kill your whole PC.
So most people buying a PC, end up paying for good everything and cheap out on maybe 1 part, later they replace that part with what they originally wanted.
In regards to repair, my HP Laptop just lost its ctrl key and I just bought a spare for 5 bucks.
Its 10 years old now btw

So yeah, go back to r/ltt
