I'm starting to watch all Tarantino films in order. I found pic rel to be alright during the first third but started to get upon my ass as it kept going. Sure the scenes with Pink arguing with White, the scene where White claps to Blonde, everything about Orange's backstory and the intro scene are pretty good. But the structure is messy for the sake of it, and I honestly couldn't empathyze with any of the characters. Pink and Orange are likeable at least, White sacrifies himself for a guy he barely knows instead of trusting the guys he's been working with for years, the Jon's son's actor is lame, the ending sucks and there's a lot of dead time. It seems like a bunch of cutscenes thrown together in order to make a film. I really liked most of the scenes in the warehouse except for the psycho dancing and the ending act. Like come on, instead of Joe going "muh instinct", he should've said something fishy about Orange's backstory, then why there was so much screentime dedicated to that if it wasn't gonna be relevant in the end? There are so many arcs that don't matter by the film's conclusion. I enjoyed it and it seemed shorter than it is, but how's it a masterpiece? I expect Pulp Fiction to be at least better desu.
