I'm starting to watch all Tarantino films in order. I found pic rel to be alright during the first third but started to get upon my ass as it kept going. Sure the scenes with Pink arguing with White, the scene where White claps to Blonde, everything about Orange's backstory and the intro scene are pretty good. But the structure is messy for the sake of it, and I honestly couldn't empathyze with any of the characters. Pink and Orange are likeable at least, White sacrifies himself for a guy he barely knows instead of trusting the guys he's been working with for years, the Jon's son's actor is lame, the ending sucks and there's a lot of dead time. It seems like a bunch of cutscenes thrown together in order to make a film. I really liked most of the scenes in the warehouse except for the psycho dancing and the ending act. Like come on, instead of Joe going "muh instinct", he should've said something fishy about Orange's backstory, then why there was so much screentime dedicated to that if it wasn't gonna be relevant in the end? There are so many arcs that don't matter by the film's conclusion. I enjoyed it and it seemed shorter than it is, but how's it a masterpiece? I expect Pulp Fiction to be at least better desu.

Oh man you are NOT going to like Pulp Fiction. I can't even imagine how it must feel to hate so much on these films, wow.

I didn't hate it, it was alright. Good even for a debut, but far from great and in no universe a 10.

Him secretly being a cop was pretty relevant to the plot

I meant the invented backstory of him going to a bathroom full of cops. That lasted almost 10 minutes and didn't serve for nothing. No symbolism and no plot related, I believed Joe was gonna say he figured out that the rat was Orange by a mistake on his story, but no he just knew and that whole arc was for nothing.

Stopped reading there. Orange's backstory is easily the worst part of the film. Ain't reading the rest of your dogshit opinion piece.
Reservoir Dogs will always be Tarantino's best work.

Worst part of the film was Blonde torturing the police officer. It was so cringy and edgy that I was almost gonna get sleep. Orange was the only one with a twist and an understandable goal, all the others were just likeable at best like Pink.

I don't even think Pulp Fiction is that amazing but Reservoir Dogs and Jackie Brown are both great. He's only been spouting shit from then on.

It’s way better. Reservoir Dogs is really mid and it’s just a bunch of actors dicking around.

How's Reservoir Dogs great? Sure cool visuals and dialogue, but the characters are flat, the plot isn't special and the conclusion is unsatisfactory.

I don't like any of Tarantino's films. They're all celebrity circlejerks slathered in a thick veneer of false sincerity.

Tarantino sucks- he’s a guy who mixes and matches ideas and aesthetics together rather than coming up with a complete film- he’s the equivalent of an idea guy who doesn’t really flesh his stories out or hire a decent editor accept he’s parlayed this into a succesful Oscar winning directing career- his writing is like, peak fanfiction level, take that however you want it

It only gets worse from here
