It's apples and oranges. Genshin's endgame was fairly simple for a long time and you only felt you 'had' to pull a new character or weapon (the weapon banner was once very egregious but they eventually caved and fixed it) to keep going once in a blue moon, which allowed f2p/low spenders to skip characters and accrue currency to the point that they were so wealthy, it was not a problem to adapt later on when the endgame meta got more difficult.
Persona is apparently the complete fucking opposite, everything is strictly tied to elements and you need like 8 fucking teams, AND they're accelerating through all of these banners in a tiny timespan AND you get far less currency. The whiplash coming from Hoyo games cannot be overstated.
