You know the Deck has zero marketing when people keep acting like it's some niche hobbyist device. It is a device for literally anyone who actually likes video games. It is more broadly appealing of a system than the switch is, which is exclusively for new nintendo games. It plays way more games, has way more features, is more consumer friendly, more versatile, just as convenient, etc. I got my normalfag brother one and it obsoleted his Switch, so he sold it. He gave me his PS4 as thanks because he didn't use it anymore, but I don't use it either. His wife got him a PS5 at the same time and he barely touched it because he just plays everything on the Deck. He would never in a million years have gotten one if I hadn't bought him one and yet it immediately replaced his consoles. If the Deck was advertised and available everywhere like a console was, it would be a completely different story, but Valve isn't a major hardware manufacturer, they can barely meet demand as is, and their goal with it is improving Linux and Proton while spurring on competition so they can load that competition up with SteamOS.
