The post 2016 world specifically is a completely different landscape, especially after the 2016 usa election where people started to never shut the fuck up about race and how blumpf is a turbonazi who will hang all minorities, women and gays etc.
also starting from the 2000, the 21s century has been a wild ride:
>throughtout the 2000s everyone mostly just hated bush jr so we got along mostly, many people on the left were actually big into conspiracy topics and even questioned pharma companies ( unlike the 2020s lol )
>from the late 2000s to 2015 obama was like a pacifier for the generic liberal types, democrat black president, you literally have no right to complain, it was kinda calm and you could just exist calmly without stress
>then around 2016 and especially after trump winning everything started to have the "generic woke" flavor ( see: ghostbusters 2016, it set the bar on how media should be, muh strong black wahmens etc., then lgbt shit was added later on in the late 2010s and early 2020s more and more )
>late 2010s were abysmal and the 2020s were basically the continuation of it just getting even worse, everyone is just more and more retarded every passing year, everything's polarizing and there's no common ground
>third worlders now dominate the internet, people who have never used the internet via a pc accessing the net throught their smartphones exclusively and shit it up
I think the world was OKAY until the mid 2010s, it was a gradual decline but 2015/16 and later was when it all became too obnoxious and you couldn't be as "relaxed" or "chill" anymore, you're either the enemy or friend, with them or us.
