Complete nonsense. Singapore during the Cold War was one of the most stridently anti-Communist countries in the world, violently persecuting Communists and Socialists within its borders. As for Socialism, Singapore ranks only behind Hong Kong in terms of economic freedom. Public expenditure is small (14% of GDP in Singapore compared to 36% in the USA)
