I hate this shit, same thing happened to Paranatural when the creator found out that 4chan liked it and then because of his misconception of what 4chan was basically destroyed the entire narrative. If your work starts getting even moderately big some people you dislike are going to end up liking it, either because it touches on universal themes or because they've misinterpreted it, that's just life. No need to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
