You forget that you're playing against the people who have full visibility on the trades and can choose the side that has more volume and force a winning trade by first selecting the losers who are going to lose, then getting them stuck in by moving the price to make them long and waiting for the volume to go to nothing, then after, ripping that money out of their hands by borrowing to supply shares to demand that can't be there, only then buying for guarenteed profit, to decrease the price past the point where owners can stop you and then enjoy a price rise and sell it to yourself after a rise.
