I've noticed a lot of Japanese have no idea what the lawsuit is actually about. They think its about the designs (which aren't even the same) when its about a patent. I've seen when they understand its about patents, they are less supportive of it. But I'm sure Japan has a lot of insane Pokemon simps who have gaslight everyone about the lawsuit.

Toby is someone who let the fame get to his head. Of course, a lot of that was from Japanese fans so now he wants to skinwalk as one (which I'd say he is if he's speaking Japanese rather than English which he's actually fluent in). Toby doesn't understand why Undertale was such a good game and chalks it up to BEING QUIRKY CHUNGUS which is what Deltarune is, except it also needs to take two decades I guess. He will never be able to surpass his original work and he'll keep trying to milk it until no one cares anymore.
