They should have never bought back old characters. Viconia got the humiliation ritual, Sarevok become Bhaal's little devoted bitch (which isn't what he was in BG1), and Jaheira and Minsc could be appearances and allies but not companions. Instead of adding MORE ELVES into the companions' list, they could have precious development time and effort to add at least one of the small races. Instead we got Halsin, and Minthara didn't get as much content as she could have.
