They don't. John/Vriska is the only ship that actually had a story connected to it and wasn't just "and then they smooch <3". Of course the story was aborted, but in an alternate universe it could have gone somewhere even it didn't take the "actually because of the narrative Vriska is a girlboss and doesn't need to change and none of that shit mattered."

This isn't even a shipping thing. It's just a problem with the entire nature of how Homestuck was made.
