Make core gameplay/controls more robust, for one.

>Consistent transfer of momentum into slides
>Chain dodge roll or landing into slides

>Quick party system for recruited NPCs and multiplayer
I don't mind piecing the story together, but I'd like to see more varied deliveries beyond short journals and palpedia entries. Stuff like NPC interactions and quests, chance events and points of interest hidden in plain sight or obscure corners of the map.
For instance,
>Marcus's tower is surrounded by an expensive looking PIDF stronghold with an underground drug lab
>PIDF officers can be bribed for access to restricted areas or to lose wanted status
>Delirious junkies in Duneshelter and placed sparingly around the map near PIDF protected settlements
>Questline where a well-meaning FPA grunt secretly asks for your help cleaning up bad actors, but refuses to whistleblow on them to Lily as to not destroy her faith
>Bjorn & Bastigor are a double boss, reflecting their dynamic in Feybreak's trailer
>Chance to find near-death Xeno pals fighting Jetragon at its spawn
>Murals delivering ancient history are hidden around the map or in dungeons, with one vaguely depicting the Calamity and recognizable Legend pals (There's gouge damage obscuring most of a centaur-like pal, teasing pre-split Paladius)
