I don't have the original page saved, but this is probably the worst page of a comic I read all the way through and bought HCs of. The later stories were really shit but this was the first moment I was really taken out of the story because it felt so fucking preachy and just made no sense for the characters.
I can totally believe that Bigby would empathise hard with Israel because he fought in WWII, probably helped some Jews escape there and obviously saw a parallel between his little group of people fleeing persecution and genocide and Israel. But it's just so fucking stupid to have him deliver this speech to the one fucking guy in the whole comic series that 100% would have no fucking clue what he's talking about. So it's just entirely a waste of time except for how it's preaching to the reader for a whole page.
