I've always enjoyed the games, but as I play more of them and I see the same elements reused over and over I'm increasingly unimpressed.
They suffer from the problem a lot of Nintendo series have where it feels like the same game being made over and over and over again.
It doesn't help that the more challenging, fun modes usually require multiple playthroughs to experience, making every concept feel even more well-tread.
I still like them a lot, but as the years go by I find them falling out of my replay rotation.
