Sure but it's still more like Zelda 1 than it is Link's Awakening. You have the text appearing outside of a textbox for the shopkeepers and caves with cryptic hints, Kris only stabs with the sword instead of swinging it, the dungeon rooms are all single-screen contained rooms like Zelda 1. Half of the difficulty of the Shadow Mantle fight is because you're fighting a Link's Awakening boss with Zelda 1 controls and no items.

Yeah you get the sword in like 5 minutes if that. It's not like Twilight Princess where it literally takes like an hour.
