i mean for timing purposes, yes. especially in a race, having to deal with traffic. past performance is no guarantee of future results, or luck.

AC is somewhat flawed and its accuracy entirely depends on who made the mod you are driving and what tire data they copy pasted. however it teaches a bit of caution and encourages you to not abuse the tires
rfactor and rf2 to me feel the most like real life with the exception that rf1 does not really handle when cars get up on two wheels very well but that is an edge case that most drivers will never encounter. beamng also feels very good but the tire model's concept of rubber interacting with pavement is wacky. REALLY fucking good offroad however
