>The commander of the IRGC Ashura garrison in Najafabad was shot in his car by unknown gunmen, but survived
>Then he was injured and put in an ambulance, and in the ambulance he was hit with a drone, dying in the process
Notable, as the Ashura garrison in particular are famous for their over-the-top torture and murder of dissidents. Tearing out eyes, tongues, etc.
Beyond modern Scud-hunting, Israel now appears to be aiming to deconstruct the IRGC. Which if regime change is on the menu is wise. The IRGC are more of an occupation force than anything else, they have to go before civil discontent can go anywhere.

>a month from now when it's back to status quo
If Iran sues for a white peace, sure, maybe. As things stand Israel is paving the way for fomenting unrest and strife. Which is quite easy in Iran given recent riots, the Ayatollah are broadly despised, and basic civil services in Iran are below sub-Saharan Africa in much of the country. Assad was overthrown with less on his plate.
