Andre was just a tall fat dude. He was basically a cripple, could barely move, had to be high/drunk just to stay in the ring. He couldn't even lift the guys he was working with properly half the time. He worked because pre-1990s wrestling was cartoonish and he didn't look out of place since everyone was wrestling like drunken out of shape boomers at the family barbeque, but in a ring with even current day Lesnar Andre would look like a giant retarded baby slowly plodding around the ring while Lesnar zoomed around. It'd be embarassing to watch.
