NTA but Yu from The Boxer is overwhelmingly strong for the sake of storytelling. Also I don't remember any "strength" wanking, even the opposite for Aaron Tide's match. He's in the same weight class in every fight and the way the matches go they never (IIRC) interact strength wise. In a later match the heavyweight champion Aaron Tide and Yu exchange final blows. In which Aaron tide holds back his punch for Yu's sake because it would've cracked his skull open. The ending of the story has J (a supposed analogy for Jesus) get through to Yu and his trauma to save him. There are great stories of triumph through training and such from the champions in the story that are like their own mini arc. I can't imagine you did anything but read a bit before Welterweight champion and stop, because Yu and his strength set dressing filtered you.
