I guess so. I still feel like verticality is a giant fucking meme. You could do this same map, or at least something conceptually similar, without programmed geometric "tiering." Verticality is just another way of handling terrain, but anons treat it like some kind of god-tier solution to design that FE is missing, and I just find that silly. It's the terrain and design that are important, not how precisely they're implemented.
Like in your pic related, it pretty much plays out like a typical entrenched defense map with fliers going into to snipe key targets. The rocks are equivalent to ballistae and traditional siege weapons that are often available in said maps.
