Is anyone else kind of surprised they didn’t feature Gunma-chan, the mascot of Gunma, even once in the show? Yama no Susume used Gunma-chan pretty often since Kokona was a big fan.

Maybe it was a deliberate choice, since Gunma-chan is a prefecture mascot rather than a local area representative.
