1. The story is extremely well written
Even if I engage with the meme that it falls off by Act 2 it’s still better written and more sincere than most western RPG’s and JRPG’s of the last decade
2. Overworld design is perfectly executed as it’s a straight up pull from older JRPG’s which many have abandoned for the OW meme or more linear 3rd person world structure (Persona/Metaphor)
3. Being able to have an active defense parry/dodge that can also be used offensively (team counters/gradients)
4. Characters are some of the best written in the genre Maelle/Verso clears your fave and it’s not even close
5. Doesn’t go overboard or gay troupes and the troupes it does do work in service of building the world out like the different Gestral beach’s
6. Exciting plot twists that keep you guessing till the end
7. Having a level up and weapons system that’s similar to ARPG’s like Dark Souls which adds even more agency to how you wanna play the game
8. Music is phenomenal
9. VA work in ENG is phenomenal

I mentioned all these things without bringing up muh sales. Now you can seethe and create some new goal post shift or meta conversation to keep getting epic (YOU’s)
