I mean Leon and Ada had sex between RE5 and RE6 according to the canonical Dammnation movie and kissed in RE2 (and almost did the same in RE6 before the writers chickened out) but yeah I get what you mean. Capcom has an obsession with keeping their most popular and recognizable characters trapped in an endless status quo for the sake of using them forever and selling entire games based on character recognition alone. It makes their games look like a slice of life anime series that runs forever

Leon and Ada should've run away together and ended their anti-bioterrorist mercenary lifestyles a long time ago. They should live in a small town with Leon being a regular policeman again and Ada becoming a journalist or something
