Nintendogs had like perfect fucking reviews when it first came out on DS but then I actually played it and it was so shallow it didn't even hold my interest as a kid.
I had already played several pet simulators with a lot more depth like the Petz series and Creatures 2, which made it even worse.
That was the first time I thought "wow, reviews literally mean nothing".
