Wars happen all the time and all times people are allowed refuge in some place safe.
Gaza is the only place in the world where refugees are not allowed to leave the 360km2 territory they occupy.

This one happened because Hamas started it. It isn't Israel's fault that the Islamic world, their own brethren doesn't really give a shit about saving Palestinians, and only care about empty platitudes.

You are creating an impossible standard for Israel. On one hand avoid civilian harm at any cost despite knowing Hamas hides amongst the population and knowing they aren't allowed to leave (although polls show the want to).
