They fear their birth right because they still see themselves as children under the Father. They're old enough to walk but refuse to leave the garden of faith and security. To them the void is evil, uncertain and chaotic. Even now as Order chokes the life out of their world they still hold the generational fear of Nature and Chaos. Do not push the bird from the nest, rather assure them that they're all too ready to fly. To each all are ready at the time they are meant to, be it this life or the next.
