Sonic's parents are fine, they're in Hedgehog Town on Christmas Island. We just don't see him visit them. Tails's parents are confirmed to be dead I think, don't remember, Knuckles is the last of his kind apparently, but his parents could have just gone somewhere else before Knuckles hatched, and Amy's parents also live in Hedgehog Town on Christmas Island, they probably pay for Amy's bakery and apartment and stuff.
