I'm going to assume you're not an old Vindi player, but the way the stats work in this game are part of why the game died. The game's dead and has no real online resources outside the Discord so I'll summarize.
Your effective attack is Attack - Boss Defense capped to 10k. I think the cap might've been upped to 15k now and Attack Surplus allows you to increase the cap higher. The game just displays the max attack per raid, which you can see on the window if you scroll down raid info. At 43116 on +12 Adri you hit the 10k cap for Romel but you're only on about 7200 for Milo. This sort of breakpoint system gets exceptionally bad at the lower end, such as when boss def is 9k while player average attack as at 11k, where pushing to 13k literally doubles your effective attack.
Critical Rate works the same as Attack, but is capped to 50. So 221 crit on Romel translates to 46% critical rate while on Milo you only get 33%. This stat is why Lann is gear intensive to play.
Balance was capped to either 90 or 95, I forget since it's the least relevant of the stats and it's been so long. Either way each point is only 0.5% loss on average so it's not as important.
The last stat is Counterforce, which the game does have a tutorial for but if I remember correctly it caps at 100 and serves as a % modifier to your final damage. So at 100 CF you deal 100% damage and at 90 CF you deal 90%. At 176 CF you deal 88% damage to Romel but only 76% to Milo.
All of this piles up to Milo taking in the 11-12 minute range to kill while you can get Romel down in 6-8. Some of the later 110 fights have higher stat requirements which more or less force you to upgrade.
The other damage stats don't interact with boss resistances so I won't cover them.

Probably yes, so there's still a reason to farm the current event as it gets you to a full set of +14 Orna armor if you clear out the shop.
