The Walfisch flight is complete. I really love these little airplanes, the Roland CII is very high on my list of favorite airplanes. Yes, the tan whale has a face, it was very common for crews to paint faces in their CII, and even curtains in the side windows (those black boxes) but that's a bit beyond my scope right now. Introduced early in 1916, she was the fastest airplane in the German air service at the time and could out run most entente fighters. Recon, artillery spotting, light bombers, they'd escort themselves with their synchronized forward firing spandau and rear turret. Poor visibility to their underside would be their greatest weakness, and entente pilots learned they could attack from below, outside of the arc of their rear turret. The British Ace Albert Ball (44 victories, VC, DSO, and MC) would score his first victory against a CII with this method.
