I "grew out" of Pokemon when gen 3 was coming out, so I got Sapphire but Not FRLG or Emerald. Now as an adult I feel kinda mad about what I had missed out on.

Why did I grow out of it? Because Yugioh was popular and peer pressure made me worry about being seen as weird for still liking Pokemon. I denied myself of the thing that makes me the happiest for a good decade or more before coming back. I got back in because ORAS came out and bought Alpha Sapphire out of pure curiosity.

God I wish I had come back in at the beginning of X and Y. The anime was in my opinion fucking amazing and while I think I'd agree with most of the criticisms of the games I see on here, I still wish I had bought a copy of X and Y and Omega Ruby when they were dirt cheap clearance items.

Everything that came after Mega Evolution sounds kind of dumb to me so I wish I had a complete set of the gen 6 games so that I could have completed a whole pokedex for real at least once.

Thank god for romhacks that let you catch them all in one game.
