The expensive Komiya cards aren't the modern ones. Kanda came out recently and has just a few cards to his name, so on top of having beautiful art, they are also much easier to collect.
Completing a Komiya binder is much harder because you have to go out of your way to find the vending cards and the special promos, while with Kanda once you dish out the big bucks for the Giratina and the Karp, you are set.
