Both the Dolphins and the Cowboys desperate to keep their finals aspirations alive. The Dolphins are looking to bounce back from a 12-24 loss to the Sharks in Round 19. Their form has been inconsistent and they need a win to stay in touch with the top eight. The Cowboys suffered a narrow 8-12 defeat to the Bulldogs last week, their second consecutive loss. Their recent form has seen them slide down the ladder. Superstar Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow is back in the Dolphins side, slotting into his regular role at fullback, which sees Jake Averillo shift to the wing. Connelly Lemuelu has been elevated to the starting forward pack following a thumb injury to Kulikefu Finefeuiaki. Veteran forward Mark Nicholls will also miss the clash with concussion. The Cowboys will be without prop Jordan McLean, who is out with a calf injury. His absence opens the door for Thomas Mikaele to start up front, while highly rated youngster Kaiden Lahrs earns a spot on the bench. Jaxson Paulo comes in on the wing for just his third appearance of the season. Robert Derby shifts to the reserves. In their earlier meeting this season (Round 15), the Dolphins dismantled the Cowboys in a stunning 58-4 demolition. The Dolphins have won 3 of their 5 encounters since entering the competition, although the cowboys have won both matches at Suncorp Stadium. The Cowboys will be seeking redemption after their humiliating Round 15 loss. However, the Dolphins' potent attack, led by the electric Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, will test a Cowboys defence that has shown vulnerability.
