the whole thing is based off of marketing and kinos. when most of the "wild west" stuff would have actually taken place most people would have had shotguns. The 1873 winchester was being marketed as "the gun that won the west" back in 1873 when it came out and like tombstone takes place in 1880 and that was like the last significant cowboy thing to ever happen. The 1873 also "only" sold 720,000 rifles over 50 years, so it wasn't like super ubiquitous. For the 1866, even less with only 170,000 guns and only about 14,000 1860 henry rifles (the gun Clint Eastwood is supposed to have in the good, the bad and the ugly). That isn't to say they didn't exist. During the battle of little bighorn in 1876 based on archeological evidence the injun forces had at least 100 henry/winchester lever actions

that's probably. idk how much cheaper the 73 was to make. the 1866 was made of cheaper materials than the 1873 and that's why it lasted so long

Does this classic Americano rural/southerner/heartland type phenotype even exist in America anymore among the younger ranks, let alone ones who go into acting with the ability to make it big?
Do zoomers, for instance, have a Sam Elliott in-the-making waiting in the wings? Is such a thing even possible anymore?
