>>212339893idk why they were making the 73 at the same time as the other two. I also don't know how many 73s they were selling or if they were just selling guns based on old parts. The 1873 and 1892 both fired the same rounds at that point in time. today you can get an 1892 in some chamberings that you can't get a 1873 in because the 1892 is a much, much stronger action but in 1892-1923 they both were in the same chamberings shooting the same bullets
the 1894 is a bigger version of the 1894 and shot bigger rounds like the .30-30. It was way more popular, which is why they dropped the 1892. I know the 1892s were popular in like brazil and mexico for plantations so they could shoot like woodchucks or whatever they had.
There were basically 2 sets of winchester lever action rifles
the 1860 henry which was improved and became the 1866 winchester which was improved and became the 1873 winchester which was then made bigger and became the 1876 winchester
then the second group started with the 1886 winchester, they shrunk it and made the 1892 winchester, then they made one in a medium size between the 1886 and 1892 and that's the 1894 winchester and then they made one that shot pointed bullets which is the 1895 winchester
They sold the 1866 winchester until 1899, by the way
