I've got one more Raider to assemble and paint, 10 Mandrakes and some third party Succubi coming in the mail then I'm done with them for now. I've got all the Marines and Tyranids from the starter box waiting, as well as about 1000pts worth of Sisters, 1000pts worth of CSM, and 1000 pts worth of Scions. I think I want to try the Tyranids next. Ive been priming as much as I can so I have lots to paint over winter. Deldar as a learning army has definitely been like learning to swim in the deep end, but I'm loving this hobby. I broke my back and can't snowboard, hunt or mountain climb any more, so all my budget from those things is now funding my new hobby which has brought a lot of simple joy back to my life. I haven't bought any codecies yet, but the books that came with "the ultimate starter set" were kinda disappointing, so I'll probably start picking up each codex as I go. Can I run my SMs and CSMs as one combined force If I paint them alike? Or say I get the codex from both CSM and SM, can I use units from both in one army?
