EMPIRE: To say that we were perplexed would be an understatement. We plainly had no idea where we drifted at this moment in time. There were no leads on this system in our available data, nothing from a scandoc, nothing even pointed that the survey corps had once passed through here, and to much of the crew that came as an omen. We were submersed in an unknown vacuum, and there was nothing around us. The farthest planet to the dwarf sun nearby we could see was a gas giant, distant and out of reach, but before us was an oddity. We'd never seen anything like it.
COVENANT: A wedged vessel, somewhat outweighing our own, in a bright silver and clear sheen, just like us, and so close to the sacred ring that it gave some of us a pause in breath. It stirred a deeply protective and intimate sense within the crew. Some were eager to open fire immediately, and scour the unknown away from the face of the holy, to protect the ring we were already paralyzed by, just as would be right to. We weren't alone in this system. We were head to head, face to face with a surprise and to many of us, it was a nasty one.
EMPIRE: They were almost ton for a ton an equal to us. Just like this system, data had nothing on a vessel like that. Because of how strangely strewn their assembly was, with a necropolis standing in the curves of their smooth armor, some of the crew were led to believe it was a MonCal make, a design of some kind we'd just never properly seen. The most we could tell was that they were here first, and they were seemingly just as interested in the ringworld we found as we are. Maybe even fond of it.
