It's a sci-fi story first and foremost, but it has a good deal of queer window dressing. It primarily follows the bounty hunters Trigger and Vahn scraping by on a post-cataclysm world that has come under the occupation of a hostile empire. As investigations into a mysterious serial killer start ramping up, the stakes are raised and universal secrets are uncovered. Entertaining plot, beautiful art, and a nice big cast of characters (the cast list has some fun descriptions and power ranking grids: https://www.ghostjunksickness.com/cast) The authors have listed Trigun (probably my favorite anime of all time) as a big inspiration for the comic, and the style reminds me of 2D anime fighters like Guilty Gear.
