Not enough meat in their diets, the over process shit we eat today is the culprit. My father grew up in a rural area, and he ate meat and very low processed stuff and he has very good and straight teeth. My teeth are also straight, but not with out some damage due to the part of my diet being goyslop, things like candy and other snacks as well as soda.
