Why do people get so fucking offended if you don't want to eat their food during a get-together? A "friend" is all mad that I told him not to count me in for food at for his 4th of July party because I'm on a diet. I'm also not drinking. He was insisting I at least let him make me something special. Honestly, now I might just not even attend because he's making such a scene.

It's not a dinner party either. I wouldn't go if it were. What the fuck is with this? Can any "cooks" here explain it?
